Long-term projects for sustainable mobility

An important part of our work is long-term projects that run for a period of five years and are publicly funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The aim of these projects is not only to drive forward the ARENA2036 vision, but also to promote close networking and cooperation between our members. They are a driving force for innovation in the mobility sector and help to shape our future sustainably.

Innovative projects through local cooperation

Another aspect of our research activities are projects that arise from close cooperation within the ARENA2036 community. These projects are often the result of ideas that arise locally in our innovation arena. They are usually publicly funded for around three years and aim to tackle complementary topics to the long-term projects.

Our platform projects

Our innovation platform projects play a special role in our project landscape. These projects focus on the development of on-site prototypes, such as the Holodeck, the open vehicle platform Flexcar, the interactive Bosch floor and many other exciting initiatives. They are our "fleet" of ideas and technologies that push the boundaries of mobility and explore new horizons.
