The project

In the three-year research project, digital standards, tools and processes are being developed by a network of almost 40 partners. The Construct-X network team is made up of well-known companies from the construction industry, the skilled trades, IT technology as well as research and university institutions. Key construction industry and trade associations are also involved.

Among other things, Construct-X develops data rooms based on open source principles, a cloud-based open source reference architecture and cloud edge applications relevant to the construction sector. This also includes the development of technologies for the multi-provider cloud edge continuum, which will enable latency-free and secure processing of data on construction sites.

Project objective

Aim of Construct-X is to increase productivity, efficiency and transparency in the construction industry and in construction projects. Aspects of sustainability and resource conservation are also to be effectively implemented. The consistent use of data is a key factor in this, which has so far only been partially implemented in the diverse and heterogeneously organized construction industry. Construct-X aims to make an important contribution to ensuring that future investments in the planning, construction and operation of infrastructure and building construction achieve significantly more and better output.
