Review of the kick-off event on February 7, 2023

We would like to thank the many interested guests, the great talks and presentations and the lively participation during the workshops and discussions! We will carry the valuable input into further development and will continue to keep you up to date at events, here on the website and in our newsletter.

The invitation and agenda for the event can be viewed below.

Invitation to the kick-off event of the Manufacturing-X-Community on February 7, 2023

Invitation

Data rooms create new perspectives for value creation across the entire industry. The automotive industry is setting the pace, but many other industrial domains can also benefit from this. Manufacturing-X creates a common umbrella for the path of this transformation.

Easily available and consistent data networking and the prerequisites for multilateral data sharing across company boundaries are crucial for implementation. ARENA2036 is preparing an initiative to validate and test these opportunities as well as the challenges from a practical perspective.

On February 7, an information and kick-off event will take place at ARENA2036 in Stuttgart VOR ORT.

The resulting solutions are diverse: digital twins with and without an Asset Administration Shell of the Industry 4.0 component, the concept of sovereign data exchange of Gaia-X and Catena-X and many other solutions from the Industry 4.0 activities of Fraunhofer, university and other institutes. The implementation in open source of the core components of Catena-X, in particular the "Eclipse Dataspace Connector", as well as the expected commercial implementation of the Catena-X ecosystem by operating companies and solution providers opens up new perspectives both within and outside the automotive industry.

In the context of the BMWK initiative "Manufacturing-X", the further development and implementation of the results of Gaia-X, Catena-X and the Industry 4.0 platform is being driven forward with a focus on production and mechanical and plant engineering.

Participation welcome!

The task now is to organize industrial cooperation and jointly test and evaluate the various solutions and initiate further developments.

With this event, we want to provide an overview of the activities to date and an insight into the key building blocks. We also want to present the ARENA2036 initiative for an independent, industry-driven, networked test environment ("Datenräume@ARENA2036").

The event is primarily aimed at our members and project partners, but is also open to cooperation partners, partners of the Industry 4.0 platform and other interested parties.

The event is free of charge, registration is required via Eventbrite (see link at the bottom of the page), places are limited.
