Digital 2026 – The annual congress for digitalization in wiring harness development and manufacturing
September 24, 2026, ARENA2036, Stuttgart

Vehicle electrical systems are facing fundamental change. Digital consistency, consistent data models, and automated production processes are increasingly becoming decisive competitive factors—both technologically and economically.

Increasing system complexity, software-driven E/E architectures, and growing variant diversity are increasing the pressure for stable, scalable data and process structures. At the same time, efficiency, transparency, and industrial feasibility are becoming more important. Decisions made during development have a direct impact on production costs, quality, and time-to-market. Data from manufacturing is becoming a strategic source of information for design, planning, and optimization. Digital processes must therefore be thought of holistically and entrepreneurially.

Bordnetze Digital brings together experts from development, IT, and production to discuss these interrelationships in a structured, practical, and technically sound manner and to develop viable solutions for future-proof wiring systems.

Registration will be activated shortly. Stay informed and subscribe to our newsletter so you don't miss any updates about the program and tickets.

Thematic priorities for 2026

The focus is on:

  • End-to-end digital process chains from design to production
  • Consistent and interoperable data models
  • Standard formats such as VEC and KBL
  • Asset Administration Shell as a building block of Industry 4.0
  • Integration of modern design and engineering tools
  • Cloud-based development and production environments
  • Networked production and delivery structures

As part of the call for papers, we invite you to actively contribute to these topics. Share your expertise and submit your technical paper by March 31, 2026.

Who this conference is intended for

Bordnetze Digital is aimed at:

  • Development Manager for Vehicle Electrical Systems
  • Specialists and managers from cable set production
  • IT and system architects
  • Representatives of software and system providers
  • Research institutions in the field of vehicle electrical systems and digitalization

A compact conference day

Bordnetze Digital is deliberately designed as a focused, one-day specialist conference. The format creates space for in-depth content and qualified exchange.
