Mobile Workshops in Stuttgart
Greenesto uses an eSprinter to conduct mobile workshops in the districts of Stuttgart in order to sensitize citizens to climate change and to develop solutions together.
Mindset-Change for more Sustainability Awareness
We need to make Stuttgart greener. But how? Together with the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research (eni) and the Green Office of the University of Stuttgart, we have come up with a solution: "GREENESTO - adVANce your Mindset!"
To stop climate change in a sustainable way, technological developments and political guidelines are not enough. It needs the sustainability awareness of the community, which is sensitized and feels responsible for the future of its city. We want to achieve that the citizens of Stuttgart's districts rethink.
The goal of Greenesto is to advance the sustainability dialogue, but also: to work out together with citizens of different age groups how they themselves can act sustainably and exert influence. In doing so, the workshop teams experience the valuable input of other team members and the joint questioning and solving of complex issues.
To do this, we use a workshop model based on the fundamental ideas of mindset change and the method and mindset of design thinking. We are converting a fully electric e-van into a mobile workshop platform so that we can reach people in a sustainable way.
With an interdisciplinary team of coaches, mentors and other creative minds, we have been conducting the workshops in schools since spring 2022 and have already been able to inspire many teachers and students. Lisa Frank, a teacher at Solitude Gymnasium Weilimdorf, who took part in the Kintsugi workshop as part of the Children's and Young People's Day at the Science Festival on Rathausplatz, said: "I find this hands-on experience very motivating for the age group to deal creatively with the topic of sustainability."
