Stuttgart, November 15, 2023 - ARENA2036 is delighted to welcome new faces to the Research Directorate: Tabea Drees from Mercedes-Benz and Prof. Dr. Oliver Riedel, who works at the Fraunhofer IAO and the Institute for Control Engineering of Machine Tools and Manufacturing Units (ISW) at the University of Stuttgart, are now joining the high-calibre committee. The two succeed Prof. Wilhelm Bauer (Fraunhofer IAO) and Dr. Knud Lembke (Mercedes-Benz), whom we would like to take this opportunity to thank for their commitment over the past few years.

The Research Directorate, consisting of Dr. Nathalie Toso, Jürgen Dettling, Tabea Drees, Prof. Oliver Riedel, Prof. Peter Middendorf and Joachim Völker, meets regularly to make trend-setting decisions and strategically advance the research campus. The members meet a total of six times a year for small or large research directorates. In addition to the directors, our TECH division heads are also invited to the large research directorate.

The committee plays a central role in providing strategic impetus for research and also serves as a trend radar for the research campus. As an interface between industry, science and the research campus, it also plays an important role in ARENA2036's unique collaboration concept, strengthens our position as an innovation platform and ensures the targeted orientation of the project landscape in the research area in the future.
