Review: Fourth Eclipse Tractus-X Community Days

The Fourth Eclipse Tractus-X Community Days on May 22 and 23, 2025 at ARENA2036 were a complete success. Around 200 developers, IT experts and decision-makers from the international data space came together in Stuttgart to work together on the future of sovereign data spaces .

For two days, the focus was on networking, knowledge transfer and community building. The participants engaged in an intensive exchange about current developments in the Tractus-X ecosystem and discussed the challenges and opportunities of digital value chains in a practical way.

The highlights included:

  • The keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Boris Otto, Fraunhofer ISST
  • A business talk with Michael Plagge (Eclipse Foundation), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Boris Otto (Fraunhofer ISST), Michael Hahn (Mercedes-Benz AG) and Dr. Christine Payer (BMW AG)
  • A business stream with nine exciting specialist presentations
  • Five in-depth workshops for developers
  • A coding challenge from the Industry Core Hub for techies

The international participation was particularly pleasing: Participants from Spain, Portugal and India, among others, enriched the event with their expertise and experience. A highlight in terms of internationalization was the announcement of a joint testbed with Spain: Tractus-X will create a cross-border test environment for the secure exchange of data between sovereign test data rooms.

The event not only offered a platform for technical depth, but also for strategic exchange at eye level.

Many thanks to the supporters from Possehl Digital Services, Polygran, Sovity and Cofinity-X, as well as the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, which is sponsoring the event.

The Eclipse Tractus-X Community Days were once again organized by ARENA2036 e.V., the Catena-X Automotive Network e.V. and the Eclipse Foundation.

Save the Date: The next Community Days will take place on December 4 and 5, 2025.
