New member Gründermotor: With a network and double bottom

The ARENA2036 research campus officially welcomes Gründermotor as a new member of the network. The public-private partnership brings together what belongs together in order to sustainably transfer SMEs, which are so important for Germany as a business location, into the next generation. Close partnerships between science, business and innovative start-ups from The Länd create a strong network around the innovation platform.

Companies and research institutions are not the only important parts of the ARENA2036 ecosystem. Other networks and initiatives also support and strengthen the backbone of research and development work in Stuttgart: close, partnership-based cooperation at eye level and across industry, discipline and company boundaries. "We must manage to effectively interlink networks with different focuses and combine individual strengths into effective synergies. Then we can offer added value to as many companies and organizations as possible with our initiatives," explains Dr. Clemens Ackermann, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Research Coordination at the ARENA2036 research campus.

It is particularly important for the innovative strength of a region to cultivate and nurture a healthy and strong start-up scene. The partnerships with Gründermotor, Cyber Valley and many others, as well as the founding of Startup Autobahn and Design Factory Stuttgart, are important building blocks in ARENA2036's commitment to establishing an active and fruitful start-up scene in the region. Growing companies from the university environment such as NAiSE, node Robotics and ThingOS are shining examples of the effectiveness of these efforts.

ARENA2036 Managing Director and founder Peter Froeschle emphasizes the objective: "Continuing to leverage the synergy potential from partnerships between large companies, SMEs and start-ups with the lowest possible entry barriers is also one of the major goals of the ARENA2036 research campus in the third funding phase. Strategic partnerships, such as with Gründermotor, are essential for this and we are therefore looking forward to the future together. A warm welcome!"
