Quantum leaps for science and industry: QuiX Quantum becomes a member of the ARENA2036 research campus

We welcome the QuiX Quantum team to the ARENA2036 ecosystem! The German-Dutch company occupies a leading position in the field of photonic quantum computing in Europe and thus enriches our research campus with another key technology. The special feature of QuiX Quantum's technology is that, in contrast to the known methods with superconducting qubits, the photonic processors can be operated almost entirely at room temperature. They do not require costly and energy-intensive cooling. This technology offers potential for new fields of application and scaling possibilities from which many of our members will benefit.

Stefan Hengesbach, CEO of QuiX Quantum, emphasizes the new opportunities for collaboration offered by the membership: "ARENA2036 not only offers us the right infrastructure, but also creates the ideal framework for technological innovation thanks to its agile and practice-oriented way of working. Here we can initiate and implement research quickly and purposefully together with highly qualified partners."

QuiX Quantum is already working closely with the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the University of Stuttgart, both of which are also members of the research campus. As part of these collaborations, photonic quantum processors are being further developed to enable their use in industrial applications.

At the start of ARENA2036 membership, the focus is on two central initiatives:

1. testing and further development of the world's largest photonic quantum processor: In close cooperation with the University of Stuttgart, QuiX Quantum is researching possible applications in the automotive sector, in production, in IT and in logistics.

2. specialized and universal quantum applications for industry: The focus is on the optimization of data processing, for example in production logistics or in autonomous production systems. Particularly exciting are fast pattern recognition in large databases and real-time decisions - essential for the industrial production of tomorrow.

We are very pleased about the expansion of our technology portfolio and see great potential, particularly in the context of digital transformation. On the one hand, photonic quantum computing technology fits perfectly with our goals in the areas of Industry 4.0 and IT-OT convergence. On the other hand, it offers the opportunity to work faster and more energy-efficiently - a decisive advantage in times of increasing demands for flexibility and sustainability.
