QandAct – Quantum in Action
Industry meets the quantum world at ARENA2036

On January 22, 2026, ARENA2026, in collaboration with QuantumBW, invited industry representatives and scientists to ARENA2036 as part of the QandAct – Quantum in Action event to provide a practical introduction to the world of quantum technologies. The aim was to offer interested parties from companies easy access to quantum computing, quantum sensing, and quantum networks and to demonstrate the potential of these technologies for real-world applications.
The event combined informative introductions to topics with use cases, interactive World Café theme tables, and, above all, bilateral discussions with experts that were individually tailored to the questions and challenges of the participants. This allowed concrete problems from the companies to be discussed directly and initial approaches for possible applications to be developed.
The agenda included:
- Introductions to topics with use cases that gave participants a clear overview of the opportunities and limitations of quantum technologies
- World Café / Theme tables for open discussions, exchange, and initial networking
- Matching to bring participants together with experts for bilateral exchanges
- Bilateral exchange with experts, in which individual questions were explored in depth and specific use cases were discussed.
The event demonstrated the value of direct exchange and targeted matching between industry, science, and technology experts. From beginners to experienced quantum enthusiasts, all participants were able to ask questions, network, and develop visions for the application of quantum technologies.
Special thanks go to the experts from Quix Quantum, Hahn Schickard, Nokia, Advanced Quantum, KIPU, DLR, and HQS, who contributed their expertise to the discussions and supported the participants in practical discussions.
QandAct – Quantum in Action has once again demonstrated that combining theory, practical use cases, and personal exchange forms the basis for the successful introduction of quantum technologies into industry. ARENA2036 looks forward to continuing to strengthen this bridge between science, start-ups, and companies in the future.
