Fifth Eclipse Tractus-X Community Days

The Eclipse Tractus-X Community Days serve as a platform for collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing within the Tractus-X ecosystem. Building on the success of previous events, these days bring together industry leaders, developers and open source enthusiasts to shape the future of digital transformation.

The Fifth Eclipse Tractus-X Community Days were held with great success on December 4 and 5, 2025, at ARENA2036. Around 160 developers and managers from the data space came together on both days to network, exchange knowledge, and data spaces together on the future of sovereign data spaces . Participants from various countries, including Spain and Japan, networked again, worked together in workshops, and contributed to advancing the community.

Representatives from Manufacturing X projects such as Construct X, Semiconductor X, and Chem X also participated in the event, enriching it with their perspectives and ideas, which complemented the program perfectly.

The highlights of the event

The Fifth Eclipse Tractus-X Community Days provided a unique platform to learn about the latest developments in open source projects, digital ecosystems, and collaborative data exchange. Whether you were a developer, solution provider, or product manager, the event had something to offer anyone interested in exploring technologies and innovations in this field. Here are some of the aspects that made the event stand out:

• Practical workshops: In practical programming sessions, participants have the opportunity to work with the Eclipse Tractus X tools together with experts in the field.
• Networking opportunities: Participants will meet colleagues and industry leaders from the Catena-X ecosystem to make valuable contacts.
• Opening keynote and developer panel: You will receive input from thought leaders who have pioneered open source collaborations in the automotive and manufacturing industries.
• Presentations: You can learn more about use cases, apps, KITs, publications and much more - even without programming knowledge.

This year in particular, we were delighted to offer a workshop on E2E Data Exchange directly from ARENA2036. In this workshop, participants had the opportunity to test the new EDC Management Console for themselves and provide their initial feedback on the application.

What was new?

This year's event introduced an exciting new structure that covered a wide range of interests and expertise. Attendees enjoyed new workshop topics that offered fresh perspectives on critical issues. In addition, the event was divided into three different sections - presentations, workshops and challenges - so there was something for everyone. Whether manager or developer, and regardless of prior knowledge or commitment, there was valuable content tailored to individual needs.
