Wire Harness Innovation Forum Wire Harness : Robotics that moves production

On June 17, 2026, the Wire Harness Innovation Forum will take place for the third time at the ARENA2036 in Stuttgart. The focus will be on the results of the Robotics Challenge 2026 and the question of how wire harness production can be gradually automated in an industrially viable manner.

The Robotics Challenge is a cross-industry innovation format that brings together research and industry. The aim is to use robotics to support manual tasks in the manufacture of hybrid wiring harness modules in an efficient, reliable, and standards-compliant manner. The focus is on practical automation approaches, short cycle times, robust processes, and flexible machine concepts.

Following two successful editions, the third edition builds on previous work and provides insight into the current state of automation approaches. It presents technical concepts, experiences from implementation, and considerations for the next steps in development in an industrial context.

The Innovation Forum offers specialist presentations, presentations of results, and discussions with experts from industry, research, and development. It is aimed at anyone involved in the further development of cable set production or who would like to find out about current approaches and perspectives.
