Impulses and practical examples for the transformation of the wire harness industry

Wire harness production is on the verge of a fundamental shift from manual manufacturing to digitally connected, automated, and more sustainable processes. During the Technology Session at the Wire Harness Transformation Hub, current projects and initiatives supporting this transformation Wire Harness presented: the Robotics Challenge 2026, which focuses on automated assembly; the “Green Wiring System” network and its sustainability approaches; and the SILS standardization initiative for DIN 72036. The session demonstrated how research and industry are collaborating on solutions and Wire Harness the participatory opportunities Wire Harness companies within the Wire Harness Transformation Hub.
