Product catalog with the VWS
In SP 12 "Product catalog", clear application-oriented rules for the creation and management of type administration shells were developed based on the concepts developed in SP1 "Concept, information models and product description" for the information model and product description of wire harness components using administration shells (VWS) in order to be able to publish Wire Harness in VWS-based product catalogs. A number of reference examples have been created.

For this purpose, a demonstrator was created that depicts an exemplary manufacturer-independent marketplace based on the reference administration shells created by the project partners KOSTAL, KOMAX and COROFLEX in SP12. Available VWS repositories from other component suppliers were also connected as examples.
