Connection to Catena-X
TP11 "Connection to Catena-X" focused on linking the technological building blocks Asset Administration Shell and Eclipse Dataspace Connector (EDC), primarily to enable access management down to attribute level.
As a standardized basis for the creation of digital twins of a physical or intangible asset, the VWS enables the structured and semantically describable provision of information along the life cycle. Integrated mechanisms such as Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) or Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) can be used to implement differentiated access concepts to submodels and data points.
The EDC in turn provides an interoperable infrastructure for the secure and sovereign exchange of data at a cross-company level. Policies and contract definitions can be used to define and automatically enforce terms of use and access controls along data flows
