Concept for integrating the administration shells along the value chain

The aim of SP5 "Integration of administration shells (composite component)" was to define implementation concepts based on the principle of the composite component of the Industry 4.0 platform, how the Asset Administration Shell of a subcomponent, e.g. connectors, flows into the Asset Administration Shell of the entire Wire Harness , focused on architectural issues relating to the administration shell infrastructure in order to be able to integrate the VWS involved in the product and production equipment in a networked IT world according to the concept of composite components. This requires concepts for version and change management.

The derivation and definition of the composite component (VBK) "product", i.e. the wire harness. The use case of virtual commissioning (VIBN) of production machines using the VWS was examined.

The VBK is initially based on the relevant relationships between the administration shells involved or between elements of these administration shells.
