Roles and rights in the Asset Administration Shell: Guidelines for interoperability while maintaining IP and confidentiality

SP7 "Data Business Policy, Data Governance, Monetization" dealt with data policies as a guideline and orientation for the use and handling of confidential data of stakeholders in the value chain of the value chain. Role and rights management concepts are required to ensure collaborative work between the stakeholders in the value chain through the exchange of information and services using the standardized digital twin (VWS). In this TP, conceptual solution proposals were developed for role and rights management in the area of Wire Harness , with a particular focus on access controls to information and services. The aim was to determine whether an attribute-based or a role-based access control approach would be more effective.

Possible business models were considered in order to determine how monetization based on the VWS can be implemented. The key aspects from the perspective of the participants in the LS value chain were taken into account.
