Why take part?
Administration shell technology (AAS according to the open standard IEC 63278-1) makes an electronic product catalog future-proof by improving data quality and enabling seamless integration into digital ecosystems. Instead of searching for data in various PDFs, databases or Excel spreadsheets, the user has access to a consistent source that can be called up via API or web interface. This promises competitive advantages, especially for companies with complex products or international supply chains. On the other hand, there is the initial implementation effort, but the benefits outweigh this in the long term.
