Overview

The Wire Harness is one of the most complex and expensive individual components in the modern automobile. Due to the ever-increasing number of sensors, functions and variants, the complexity of the wiring harness will continue to increase in the future. On the other hand, the highly manual nature of production in "best cost countries" jeopardizes delivery reliability and thus the resilience of the entire supply chain. All of these factors point to potential for improvement through automation and digital consistency across the entire value chain and therefore offer a concrete use case for the digital transformation of the automotive and vehicle industry.
